Chestnut Grove Park

Chestnut Grove Park is located on Dorothy Way, Allentown, PA. directly adjacent from the Municipal Building. This park includes the following:

A Basketball Court
A Tot's Playground
Play area for all ages
22 space parking lot
Large Pavilion Area (30' x 50' with eight 8ft tables; Accommodates 70-80 individuals)
One handicap porta potty (summer only)
Water fountain
Grill
Electricity

New recreation equipment has been installed in the park in addtion to the new basketball court.

How do I reserve the Chestnut Grove Park pavilion?
Fees

For Hanover Township, Lehigh County Residents, reservation of the pavilion areas in Chestnut Grove Park for picnics, etc., is free with a $150.00 refundable Security Deposit.
For non-residents, there is a fee of $150.00, plus a $150.00 refundable security deposit, paid in cash or two separate checks or money order of $150.00 each.
Basketball Court Rental is $100.00, plus a $150.00 refundable security deposit, paid in cash or two separate checks or money order of $100.00 and $150.00 respectively.

Steps for reserving the Chestnut Grove Park pavilion

You MUST check our Park Reservations Calendar for park pavilion availability.
If park pavilion is available, complete the Park Facilities Rental Application below to reserve your date.

By filling out and submitting this form to mwehr@hanleco.org, your date is ON HOLD for two weeks giving you time to complete the next steps in the reservation process.

Complete this form.
Mail it to the Township Office with your fee and security payments.
If we do not receive the fee & security payments within TWO WEEKS, the date will become open and may be reserved by anyone who submits the forms & money needed to reserve the park pavilion.
If two weeks pass and you do not have your application and payment into the Township Office, you must call the Township Office again to check for park pavilion availability for your date and start the process over again.
